My son didn't like to sit and do projects (he's 3 1/2) but once we got this desk he finally started sitting and looking at "workbooks", he also loves to play with toys, playdough, etc. at this desk. He loves it because I can sit in a chair at the desk also and play with him comfortably. I'm 135 pounds and can sit easily on one of the chairs that go with this desk (but I'm short). It's durable, attractive and a good size for him. We did get a small stain on it from a marker that won't come off so I'd recommend a placemat or something for messier projects. The item arrived in perfect condition and was really easy to put together. The chairs fit well under the table and don't take up extra room. I would highly recommend this item! My son is 5YO and slightly tall for his age. He sits at the table with plenty of room for growth. This was a great investment because it will last for many years to come. It arrived in perfect condition and 1,2,3 we had it together. Quality of wood is great. All you need is an electric/battery screw driver and it was a cinch! It's very sturdy and will last a lifetime.
